Doug
Kochanowski, CHMM, CAC
Doug Kochanowski completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from San Diego State University in 1987 and has been working in the hazardous materials and environmental consulting field since. From 1987 through 1999, Mr. Kochanowski worked for a variety of national and international consulting firms. During this period, he worked on a wide variety of projects that included Phase I Environmental Site assessments, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, UST decommissioning projects, soil and groundwater remediation projects, phytoremedial studies, indoor air investigations, mold and moisture testing, radon testing, landfill leachate investigations, drinking water testing, asbestos and lead based paint testing and consulting. Through further studies, Mr. Kochanowski became a California Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC), certified radiation worker, and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager. (CHMM). During the first thirteen years, Mr. Kochanowski moved around the United States and Europe; managing environmental consulting offices in Seattle Washington, Frankfurt Germany, and Memphis Tennessee.

In 2000, Mr. Kochanowski decided to use his knowledge, credentials and professional contacts to start a new environmental consulting firm. All Phase Environmental, Inc. (APEI) was therefore incorporated in 2000 and has been servicing clients and other consulting firms since. Based out of Huntington Beach California, APEI has clients throughout California. Using his contacts, Mr. Kochanowski is also able to provide environmental consulting in the greater Arizona, Seattle, Chicago, and Memphis areas.

As a business owner in California, Mr. Kochanowski understands the difficulties associated with conducting business in this state. Buying or selling properties, developing sites, and construction demolition or renovation in California all require specialized knowledge. Mr. Kochanowski is therefore uniquely positioned as a person you can trust and whom you can rely on to provide you with an honest assessment of your position. Its often said that it is good to know an honest mechanic; but it should also be said that it is more important to know an honest environmental consultant when doing business in California.
