When To Have a Building Engineering Components and Structural Assessment Performed

Each client has their own comfort level when it comes to the purchase or refinancing of a building or other improvement and thus there is no simple prescription for when this study should be performed. Some variables to consider include: age of the building, use of the building, past problems with the building, earthquake susceptibility and building materials.
